Event 3 Sandbag Medley

Athletes, you’re tasked with running 4 KINTA sandbags and loading them.

Event Disctiption:

Get ready for the Sandbag Medley, a true test of strength, endurance, and determination. In this event, athletes will need to lift, carry, and load a series of 4 sandbags over a 10m distance as quickly as possible. Each sandbag presents its own challenge, pushing competitors to their limits. The Sandbag Medley is not just about raw power; it requires speed, strategy, and the mental toughness to keep going when the body says stop.

Sandbag weights in order of medley

Strongwomen:

U64kg - 35kg, 35kg, 50kg, 75kg

U73kg - 35kg, 50kg, 50kg, 75kg

U82kg - 35kg, 50kg, 75kg, 75kg

Open - 50kg, 75kg, 75kg, 100kg

Masters Strongwoman (40+) - 35kg, 50kg, 50kg, 75kg

Strongmen:

U80kg - 75kg, 75kg, 100kg, 125kg

U90kg - 75kg, 100kg, 100kg, 125kg

U105kg - 75kg, 100kg, 125kg, 125kg

Open - 100kg, 125kg, 125kg, 150kg

Masters Strongman (40+) - 75kg, 100kg, 100kg, 125kg

Event Rules:

  • Athletes may not make contact with any bags until they the ref gives the “start” command.

  • all bags will be set at the same orientation. *upright and each athletes must go in ascending order of the bags.

  • Athletes are allowed Gloves and Chalk. No other grip aids are allowed particularly chalk compounds that contain other substances in addition to chalk. *no Grip JIZZ chalk

  • Maximum use of 2 belts (1 soft belt + 1 hard belt) 

  • Other equipment allowed: knee sleeves/wraps , wrist wraps and elbow sleeves.

  • Athletes must carry and load each sandbag onto a platform within the specified time limit of 75 seconds.

  • *** Update : No Loading the bag to your shoulder in this medley***

  • The event is timed, and the athlete who completes the medley in the shortest time wins.

  • Split times will be measured for each successful load.

  • To score a point athletes must load the first sandbag. NO DISTANCE WILL BE MEASURED fastest time wins**

  • The exact details of the course and the appearance of the event will be revealed soon, (Subject to equipment testing) but rest assured, these specifics will not interfere with your preparation. Think 10m track up and down with a loading platform height between 1m and 1.2m. All athletes and divisions will lift at the same height.
