Event 4

Axle Tyre Deadlift Medley

Event description and rules:

  • Athletes will have three deadlifts lined in front of them. an Axle bar with bumper plates, Axle bar and tyres 14”, Axle bar with tyres 14”

  • Athletes are to perform the last deadlift for reps until time runs out.

  • Most reps on the final bar wins

  • Each athlete will have 60 seconds to complete the medley 

  • For a deadlift to be deemed a successful lift, the ref will be looking for knees and hips locked out and shoulders locked back behind the chest.

  • Figure 9 straps may be used and Figure 8 straps are also allowed, deadlift suits are permitted, maximum use of 2 belts (1 soft belt + 1 hard belt)  

  • Athletes must also wait for the “down” command from the ref before commencing to the next deadlift implement.

  • Strictly no touch and go deadlifts  

  • Minimum score is to successfully lift the first deadlift

Novice

If you’ve never competed in Strongman but want to have a taste of competing at an epic venue for the whole of Perth and the country to see.

AAC Qualifier

You’ve competed with us before and you want to want to play with the heavier weights.

Alongside also qualifying to compete at the Arnolds Amateur Strongman Championships in Sydney later this year.
